DECEMBER 8: OPENING OF THE PROVINCIAL CHAPTER
Summoned by the Lord, the delegates to the Provincial Chapter of Province of Our Lady of the Americas, gathered together at the Provincial House in Mexico City for the second session of the Chapter.
In the opening prayer, we presented to the Lord who we are, what we have learned, and who we have become in journeying together as a Province during this year of transition.
We are aware of our strengths, limitations, hopes, dreams and challenges. However, we believe that nothing is impossible with God.
We entrust our reflection, discernment, and search for the common good to the Blessed Virgin so that we can respond to the call of the 56th General Chapter, which invites us to "Together to transform our life and mission."
GETTING TO KNOW OUR REALITY
The first day was dedicated to LISTENING to the reality of the Province. It was presented by a delegate through the identification of the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and challenges of each community.
It was very enriching to be able to see the variety of our presences, as well as the challenges we face in carrying out our mission. It was an opportunity to confirm God's fidelity in our journey and his constant call to renew our life and mission in fidelity to the charism inherited by Marie Poussepin.
