The Promotion of the Human Person is a task that has been a priority in the Congregation throughout history, it is proper to our Dominican charism, such is its vision of the human being, of God and of the world. Casa de Promoción Social “Presentación” is a Civil Association based in the State of Tlaxcala, Mexico. A place of great wealth for its cultural heritage and deep-rooted human values that have an impact on family and social life. However, the people of Tlaxcala are currently submerged in a serious family and social situation due to the sale of human beings, forced disappearances, illegal trafficking of human organs, human trafficking, including children, for sexual exploitation, and serious ecological damage. Where the intervention of the authorities is little and sometimes colluded. We have been sent as a community to this reality, which upon reading it, speaks to us of an absence of awareness of the priceless greatness that comes from being Children of God; ignorance that attracts suffering and illness. Not only to the direct and indirect victims, but also to society as a whole. That is why, through the Association, we are contributing to the promotion of the human person through integral development so that he/she may live his/her dignity to the fullest.
The means by which we initiate this process in people, is health care with alternative therapies, channeling those who require it to listening or psychological therapies. The needs are great, we are creating support networks with institutions that work with victims, and seeking support from professionals: psychologists, experts in human development. We want to provoke the realization of the virtuous circle in each person so that they can have a fulfilled life and integral health.
We are committed to each person who comes to us in search of health. Their intentions and situations are in the daily prayer of our Community. We celebrate the Eucharist with them, as a community of support. The Lord is our strength.
