TESTIMONY OF FRIENDSHIP

From the communities of the Provincial House, located in Mexico City, we have the experience of sharing with young Elisa Guadalupe, a psychology student at the Universidad Panamericana. Her presence and closeness give us the opportunity to experience fraternity and mutually enrich each other with her pursuits and our missionary sharing, which is a source of joy.

México City, November 21, 2024

Dear sisters

I feel very grateful to be here with you today, to share one of the 2, 3, 4… 50, 60 “YES” you have said to the Lord. Today is a very special day because you renew your vows through the most beautiful words of God's surrender.
I see this "yes" of surrender to the Lord every day that you allow me to share with you: a life dedicated to Him through caring for the sick, educating those who are ignorant, leading the way to vocation for those of us who wander aimlessly, feeding the poor, those who hunger not only physically but, more importantly, for the soul and for the Lord. Lives dedicated to the Lord, which now translate into testimonies that inspire the lives of those who contemplate and listen to them.
I remember the story of the first time I came to visit them. I love to tell it, but truly, it was as if I knew I was there, a house full of Him as soon as I saw it, without knowing where I was going.
After that first conversation with Sister María Ascensión, who was so interested in hearing my story, an unknown story that she contemplated with her sweet gaze. And when that generous dose of affection wasn't enough, she invited me in, and I'll never forget the most beautiful welcome, such joy! (A memory that will always remain in my heart as one of the most special). It definitely wasn't for me, for they didn't know me yet. It was the joy of welcoming a daughter of God, excited by so much they had to offer, so much to share of their love for God. It's not the glass of water that Sister Celia Rosa always so insistently offers me, it's your conversations, the conversations with each one of you that bring me back to God, to what matters in life, the hug that is never lacking after a difficult day (even without knowing it), the prayers, the psalms, the advice. It's the treasure that is hidden in each of your hearts because, where the heart of man is, there is his treasure, and you have placed it in the most valuable of all, and you share its riches with us. Sisters, thank you infinitely for this YES pronounced today and in each of the previous and future years, for bringing richness to where poverty abounds.
With my deepest affection and gratitude, "Your Lupita."

We appreciate your words of recognition and appreciation for our consecrated life and your joy with us as we participate in the renewal of vows on November 21, 2024, during the Eucharistic celebration.

VOCATION A GIFT FROM GOD

Beginning of the Second Year of Novitiate

“But we hold this treasure in earthen vessels so that this sovereign power may appear to be God's and not ours” (2 Cor 4:7).

The vocation is a gift that God gives to whoever He wants. When God calls, he looks at the person's heart. He, knowing the most intimate part of the person's being, gives the grace to respond to his call, this is why the vocation is a treasure, which is cared for as the most precious thing, because God calls out of love and the vocation is about love, a love that is God's initiative.

On October 7, 2024, the novices Ana Alicia Méndez and Rosa López began their second year of novitiate. It is a joy to see that the Lord continues to call women and men for his Kingdom. This time, we rejoice with our novices, who share with us their experience as they begin this second year of novitiate.

Vocational Testimony

Novice Ana Alicia Méndez Gómez: My experience at the beginning of the second year of novitiate is a joy, since every day I am taking new steps to continue advancing on this beautiful path to which the Lord has called me. Every day I get to know the Lord more, delving deeper into his Word, opening my heart to listen to him. I thank the Lord for this beautiful charism of Marie Poussepin, who encourages me to continue carrying the proclamation of the Kingdom in the service of charity among my brothers and sisters.

Novice Rosa López Ruíz: A new life and a new walk, this meant the beginning of my second year of novitiate, and I feel happy to continue responding to the call of the Lord. I thank God for this new journey, which leads me to a generous gift of myself and I thank also each sister who had accompanied me and will continue to accompany me.

Come and see

Vocation is a call from God to each person to carry out a specific mission in the world. This call is unique and personal and its objective is the service of others and the building of the Kingdom of God on earth. God’s call is to to Marriage, Consecrated Life, or Single life.

However, how can I discover my vocation?

  1. Listen: The Lord's call is not always obvious. We must prepare ourselves to listen to His Word deeply, pay attention to everyday details in our lives, and learn how to read events through the eyes of faith.
  2. Discern: the project that God is asking of you.
  3. Be open to the Spirit's surprises: Living out our vocation makes us instruments of salvation in the world and orients us toward full happiness

Vocation is a call from God to all who have been baptized to participate in the fullness of His love and to live in communion with Him. In other words, it is a call to live in holiness.

  • If you are consecrated, you can be holy by offering yourself to God and living your ministry with joy.
  • If you are married, you can be holy by loving and caring for your spouse as Christ loved the Church.
  • If you are single, you can be holy by fulfilling your work honestly and competently and by offering your time to the service of others.

If you want to know what is your vocation “Come and See” (Jn 1,46) . Come to the closest community and a sister will accompany you in this search.

VOCATIONAL TESTIMONY

By Hna. Claudia Lorena Redondo Rentería

Esta es mi historia vocacional: Vida. Regalo. Don. Gracia.
