The Congregation of the Dominican Sisters of Charity of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin is an international religious Congregation present in 36 countries. We were founded in Sainville, France in 1696 by Blessed Marie Poussepin. Our reason for being is the service of charity.

According to our Constitutions, we are "Called by the Lord and gathered in His name to know and announce Jesus Christ" (C.2). "We are present wherever the Church calls us, wherever our brothers and sisters need us... willing to take risks and to accept the sacrifices which evangelization entails" (C. 84).

The Province of "Our Lady of the Americas" had its origin on December 3, 2023 with the decree of its establishment issued by Sr. Maria Escayola Coris, Superior General. This structure of the Congregation is composed of the countries of the United States, Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador and Honduras, and its headquarters is in Mexico City.

Our mission focuses on education and health care, with a preference for the poor. Through our witness of simplicity, work and poverty, we proclaim the Word of God (C.1).
